Include separate buttons for each category of media for example audio files, video, images.

You could further divide these into specific file types such as ogg, jpg, WMA etc. I reealize you can do individual searches by going to the settings window, but it would be much easier if individual buttons were included.

Several of the media options in the settings window are greyed out, for example Search PCX, IFF, TGA, SWF, OGG etc. Enable the users to check these.

Uncheck the automatically search for updates which is the default setting; not only could this unregister newer versions it would stop the computer 'phoning home' to the developers site.

Also uncheck the intigrate into windows shell. Allow the user to decide wheter to check this option

Include a two tier sytem with the delete button so that you can't accidentally delete files accidentally. Or create a safe list that won't allow you to delete important system files.

Uncheck the default setting in settings that integrates ?all Media Grabber with Windows Shell.

I'd prefer to be asked first.. Maybe this could be integrayed in the initial set up wizard so that we are given the choice. This would also enable the user to choose their language options during installation.

Get rid of the large awards section on the develpers front page - it just makes the developer cheap and a con merchant.

Good software doesn't need to be gven awards that are often meaningless. most are hard to clarify and just persuafe me that the developer is trying to impress with no real foundatin to the awards

Be able to extract media files from ftp sites without having to register an account.

however, this may be a grey area with respect to legality issues, it would still be a useful additional tool that could be used for personal ftp's

Please update the programs user interface (GUI), it looks very dated now. Include a selection of skins and a color changer for the user interface.

You could also color code different types of media files

Though you'd need to inform the user that this could have illegal applications and that they could face prosecution by the authorities

Add RAW file formats for digital cameras like Canon, Nikon, etc.

file types .CR2 for Canon dslr, .NEF for Nikon and other brands.

Stop storing the license data in the Registry under the Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion section.

This is suspicious, unprofessional and absolutely unacceptable. The registry will get a complete dump of trash if everyone would do this. If you want to hide the license data there are better ways to do it. Google helps.
